$67M Ruling In Eminent Domain Case

In another case decided since the state changed its eminent domain law, a circuit court jury decided in May that the Jacksonville Port Authority must pay $67 million to Keystone Coal Co. if it wants to buy a 70-acre parcel. Brigham Moore, a property rights defense firm, represented the coal company, which purchased the land three years ago for $8 million.
