» President Barack Obama has nominated Frank Sanchez, a Tampa attorney, to become undersecretary for international trade at the U.S. Department of Commerce.

» Robert J. Rohrlack Jr. is now president and CEO of the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce. Rohrlack was senior vice president of business retention and recruitment for Enterprise Florida. He replaces Joe House, who, as interim president and CEO, replaced Kim Scheeler, who left in July.

» Vann Herring has been named president and CEO of Tampa-based McKibbon Hotel Management. Herring joined the company in 1990 and was named president in 1996. Former CEO John McKibbon will remain chairman.
