» Wendy Kallergis took over as CEO of the Greater Miami & the Beaches Hotel Association, replacing the retiring Stuart Blumberg, who had run the association since it was founded in 1994. Kallergis was CEO of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce.

» Professional Bank named Karen B. August CFO.

» Lee Brian Schrager, Southern Wine and Spirits of America’s longtime director of media relations and special events, was promoted to vice president, corporate communications and national events.

» Industry veteran Phillip Yaffa and entrepreneur Jose Luis Bueno opened the first Miami office of real estate firm Engel & Volkers.
