» Samaritan Care Hospice of Florida, which serves Orange and Osceola counties, has named Marie Alvarez executive director. She formerly served as executive vice president for healthcare consulting firm CHS Partners in Fort Lauderdale.

» Sharon Mock retired in May as president and CEO of the Daytona Beach Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, where she had held leadership positions since 1987.
