» Rayonier Timber named Paul Boynton president and COO. Boynton, who has been with the Jacksonville-based forest products company since 1999, was most recently executive vice president for forest resources and real estate.

» Rick Ferrin, longtime chief executive at the Jacksonville Port Authority, resigned this fall after board members said it was time for a change. JaxPort hired executive search firm Boyden Global in a contract worth up to $98,000 to help replace Ferrin.

» Daniel O'Byrne was named president and CEO of Visit Jacksonville, which works to grow tourism and convention business in the Jacksonville market. He replaces John Reyes, who resigned earlier this year to lead the convention and visitors bureau in Monterey County, Calif. O'Byrne has 30 years of experience, most recently as CEO of the Little Rock, Ark., Convention and Visitors Bureau.
