» Steve Murawski has stepped down as director of scientific programs and chief science adviser for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's National Marine Fisheries Service to become a research professor at the University of South Florida's College of Marine Sciences.

» Cynthia M. Cole, a former engineer with Boeing, has joined Med-Vision, a Tampa-based health plan and risk management strategy firm, as vice president of operations for the western United States.
