› UF Health CEO: Hospital needs to partner with business
In 1870, it was Florida’s first nonmilitary hospital, and it has since grown into the region’s only Level I trauma center with 695 beds at two inpatient facilities, 400 physicians and more than 5,000 employees that serve about 700,000 patients each year.

› New reductions in worker's comp costs for Florida businesses
Florida employers will save nearly $20 million in workers’ compensation premiums next year because of “sound financial management” of the state’s two compensation trust funds, Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis said Wednesday.

› Dunedin considers banning pharmacies downtown to prevent marijuana dispensaries from opening there
Lawmakers gave local governments two options after Floridians voted overwhelmingly to legalize medical marijuana in 2016. They could ban dispensaries from opening altogether or approve them under the same zoning rules that apply to pharmacies.
