Florida challenges order to make voting rights changes

Florida is challenging a judge's order that it must devise a new way of deciding how and when former prisoners can get their voting rights restored. Attorney General Pam Bondi on Wednesday filed an appeal on behalf of the state. More from the Tampa Bay Times and the AP.

Gainesville’s self-driving shuttle rollout delayed

Gainesville residents are going to have to wait a bit longer before riding in one of the city’s self-driving shuttles due to much-needed testing. Gainesville officials in December said at least one of four autonomous shuttles would be in service this month, but those plans have been pushed back to August. More from the Gainesville Sun.

Comcast launches 1-gigabit internet service in Palm Beach County

Binge watchers in Palm Beach County have reason to rejoice, thanks to a new blazing-fast internet speed available through Comcast. Residential and business customers will now be able to plug into 1 gigabit-per-second internet services with existing cables in homes and offices in Palm Beach, St. Lucie and Martin counties. Bombardier may move its Learjet servicing to Opa-Locka

Canada-based aerospace manufacturer Bombardier may soon unveil a move of its Learjet service center from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport to Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport, bringing with it 150 full-time jobs and $15 million in public infrastructure upgrades. Florida Hosts License-Free Freshwater Fishing

 Keep Florida Fishing is inviting Florida residents and visitors to take part in a weekend of license-free fishing in state freshwater fisheries. The two-day event is part of a total of eight license-free fishing days offered each year by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and approved by Gov. Rick Scott.
