› Restaurateur heads to Miami to open his first eatery outside Philadelphia
Philadelphia restaurateur Aldo Lamberti has expanded and opened a restaurant in Florida, Lamberti's first eatery outside of Greater Philadelphia. Aldo Lamberti's Family of Restaurants opened Palat, a 2,663-square-foot restaurant in Miami.

Florida Power & Light Company unveiled a new, cutting-edge solar-plus-storage system that is believed to be the first in the country to fully integrate battery technology with a major solar power plant in a way that increases the plant's overall energy output.

› Florida House debates changing how university performance cash awarded
Currently, universities compete annually for a pot of state performance money that is awarded after the schools are ranked by the system’s Board of Governors on 10 measurements, including a six-year graduation rate, salaries of recent graduates, retention of students and student costs.

› A bill would allow trafficking victims to sue hotels. Hotels don’t like it.
On the surface, the bill has widespread support, passing three committees without anyone voting against it. But behind the scenes, the hotel industry is waging a campaign against it, legislators say.
