Nelson Figueroa launched Millennium Luxury Coaches in Sanford during the 2001 recession but built the bus conversion company into a leader in the field with more than 40 employees and a 100,000-sq.-ft. facility. Figueroa, a former U.S. Army avionics specialist from Puerto Rico, and his wife and business partner, Evelyn, test-drive every RV they design and furnish them with leather, mahogany and stone. Millennium was named one of Florida's 50 private companies to watch in 2011 by GrowFL and the Florida Economic Gardening Institute.
