Florida Father's Day spending to reach record high

The Florida Retail Federation (FRF) says Florida families will spend more than ever on Father’s Day this year. Consumers are expected to spend an average $134.75 for the holiday, up almost $10 from last year’s $125.92. More from Florida Trend.

Aldi announces plans for more U.S. stores as its Jacksonville expansion continues

City of Alachua to unveil one-of-a-kind Legacy Park

A multipurpose complex said to be the only one of its kind in North Central Florida opens this week in Alachua. City officials paid $1,150,000 in 2012 for the property, using funds from Wild Spaces Public Places, Alachua County Tourist Development taxes and several private donors.
