The old mall is dead -- Florida’s largest retail developments are showing what comes next

Today, malls are going through major change. Whether due to a changing economy or a changing customer base, malls -- as 1990s mall rats knew them -- are disappearing. New ideas focus on pedestrian-and community-based design. Coral Gables’ Miracle Mile will be revitalized and is getting rid of narrow sidewalks and angled street parking. Alabama firm buys Pasco County bank for $31.3 million

Florida Lottery sets new March record for contributions to Florida

The Florida Lottery has announced a new March record of $156 million in contributions to the state's Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF); bringing the Lottery's total contributions to education for fiscal year 2016-17 to $1.2 billion with three months remaining in the current fiscal year.
