Naples company opens world's first Pickleball mega-center
Pickle Pro, a Naples based manufacturer of paddles and seller of accessories for the explosively popular sport of Pickleball, has just scored another first: a Pickleball Mega-Center that comprises not only a factory outlet store but indoor pickleball courts as well. Both are located in the same complex as the company's manufacturing facilities.
"The Pickle Pro Pickleball Mega-Center is in keeping with the spirit of bringing manufacturing back to America, while bringing families and friends together for wholesome, healthy fun in a comfortable environment," says Todd Pree, founder and managing member of Pickle Pro. "We are one of the last remaining U.S.-based manufacturer of pickleball paddles. And our new Mega-Center with its indoor courts is truly the first of its kind. Nobody has ever combined a factory outlet store with indoor pickleball courts."
The courts are fully air-conditioned and allow players a respite from Florida's legendary heat, bugs, and rain while they indulge in one of the fastest-growing sports in the world.
For a very limited time, players can enjoy Pickle Pro's courts for free, although it is best to reserve a court online first at picklepro.com. "And we hope that players will also visit our factory outlet store, which features paddles, balls, shirts, caps, and much more," says Pree. The retail show room has tripled from its original size, reflecting the growth of the company and the increasing popularity of pickleball.
Pickleball, which is played on a badminton-sized court with a hard paddle and a ball that looks somewhat like a Wiffle™ Ball, began as a backyard game in the mid-1960s. Since then it has grown into a massively popular national and international sport that can be enjoyed by everyone from children to seniors. "Pickle Pro is growing right along with the sport," explains Pree, "and we intend to keep on expanding to meet the needs of pickleball enthusiasts, not just in Naples, but all over America."
