Grupo Mexico to buy Florida East Coast Railway

Mexican mining and railroad company Grupo Mexico SAB has agreed to buy Florida East Coast Railway Holdings Corp. in a $2.1 billion deal, expanding its transport operations in the U.S. with the acquisition of the 351-mile railway. Pam Bondi to host White House ‘women’s empowerment panel’

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is D.C. bound this week, once again increasing speculation that she might be eyeing a job in the White House before her term ends in 2019. Study: Florida taxpayers have third highest return on interest

Florida taxpayers get the third best "bang for their buck" in the country when it comes to government services. According to a study released Tuesday by WalletHub, Florida residents pay relatively low taxes compared to the quality of government services they receive.

Judge sides with Gov. Scott in removal of Orlando prosecutor Ayala back in court

A judge says Florida's governor can remove a prosecutor from a death penalty-eligible case and has denied a request to delay the proceedings. State Attorney Aramis Ayala said earlier this month that she wouldn't seek the death penalty for a man charged in the December slayings of his ex-girlfriend and a police officer. [Source: AP]
