Wall Street is hiring ... in Florida

Global financial companies including Frankfurt-based Deutsche Bank and Sydney-based Macquarie Group have been moving executives to Florida and hiring locally, even while paring staff elsewhere. It’s part of a Wall Street trend known as nearshoring. More from Bloomberg Businessweek.

Gov. Scott to pitch $618 million in tax cuts

During stops in Tampa, Jacksonville and Fort Lauderdale, Scott on Wednesday will tout a tax cut package he's asking the Republican-controlled Florida Legislature to pass this spring. Details on Gov. Scott's plan here. Also read more at the AP.

Miami chamber team jetting to China and Hong Kong

The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce is jetting off to Asia in April for an Americas Linkage business development trip to China and Hong Kong. The delegation is to make stops in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Tianjin and Beijing and Hong Kong from April 13-25. More from Miami Today.

Mystery company seeks $1.5M incentive to add 300 employees in Broward

A company applied for $1.5 million in public incentives to expand its headquarters in Plantation by 300 employees. The name of the company working with the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance has been kept confidential under the code name “Project RS1.” More from the South Florida Business Journal.

Florida hotels fare well in annual best hotels ranking
