Hope Healthcare board of directors announces new members

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Five local community leaders have joined the board of directors for Hope Healthcare.

Joe Gammons, principal at Office Furniture & Design Concepts, serves on the board of directors for Lee Health Foundation and the Florida Gulf Coast University Foundation and is a member of the Fort Myers South Rotary and the Fort Myers, Naples and Cape Coral chambers of commerce.

West McCann, market president and senior managing director of Northern Trust Wealth Management’s Lee County offices, has served on the board of directors or as a committee member for community organizations, including Audubon Florida, United Way of Collier County, Speakers Assembly of Southwest Florida, New Horizons of Southwest Florida, and the Bonita Springs Community Fund of the Southwest Florida Community Foundation.

Bob Simpson is president and CEO of LEESAR Regional Service Center and Co-operative Services of Florida. A former chairperson of the The American Cancer Society of Lee County Cattle Barron’s Ball and The American Heart Association Heart Ball, Simpson has served on the board of directors for Hodges University in Fort Myers and Fifth Third Bank South Florida Affiliate Board of directors.

Sandy Stilwell is owner and CEO of Stilwell Enterprises and Restaurant Group. She serves as the immediate past board chair for the PACE Center for Girls and sits on the board of trustees for Hodges University. A member of the advisory boards for Florida Gulf Coast University’s Resort & Hospitality Management Program and Gulfshore Life magazine, Stilwell serves on the Captiva Community Panel and the Healthy Lee Steering Committee.

Trudi K. Williams, CEO of TKW Consulting, served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2004 to 2012. A founding member and trustee of the Babcock Preservation Partnership, she is a member of the Chamber of Southwest Florida and serves on the American Red Cross board of directors.

The new members join current board members; Madlyn Dornaus, former senior vice president and chief compliance officer for Radiation Therapy Services, who is a member of the Medical Group Management Association and a certified healthcare compliance and privacy officer; Noreen DiPlacido, a Florida licensed health care risk manager with nearly 25 years of experience in the medical field; Tom Giles, founder, president and CEO of Avalon Engineering; Larry Hart, tax collector for the state of Florida and Rev. Dr. Tim Halverson, pastor and head of staff at Faith Presbyterian Church in Cape Coral.

The board’s leadership includes Chairman, Bo Turbeville, vice president of Accent Business Products; Vice-Chair; Jerry Nichols, a specialist for Employee Benefits Planning with Brown & Brown Benefits and a Northwestern Mutual Financial Representative; Secretary Dick Ackert, former president and CEO of SouthTrust Bank, Southwest Florida; Treasurer Charles Idelson, principal founder of Investors’ Security Trust Company; and past Chair Sandy Robinson, former president of Northern Trust’s Fort Myers office.
