Medical marijuana in Florida could top $1 billion in three years

Florida is on track to log more than $1 billion in medical marijuana sales by 2019, according to an industry report released Tuesday. By 2020, the report predicts, Florida will be the second-largest medical marijuana market in the country, following only California. More from the Tampa Bay Times.

SeaWorld Entertainment eliminates hundreds of jobs

SeaWorld Entertainment is eliminating 320 positions companywide today. A company spokeswoman said the eliminations will be a combination of layoffs and vacant positions. This is the second large layoff the company has undergone in two years. More from the Orlando Sentinel.

Orlando decides not to vote yet on rules for drones

The policy put forward by Mayor Buddy Dyer's staff would have created a permitting process for those hoping to fly unmanned aircraft above the city, and prohibited their use near certain areas considered vulnerable, such as theme parks, stadiums, schools and large gatherings.
