Florida voters will go to the polls Tuesday to decide whether Sen. Marco Rubio should serve a second term and medical marijuana should be more broadly legalized as well as to pick at least eight new U.S. House members. The state and its 29 electoral votes will also play a significant role in the presidential election. Here's a look at the races and issues facing Florida on Election Day. Florida's 2017 outlook strong, economists say

The Florida economy is poised to continue its strong run of growth into next year. That's the word from economists at Wells Fargo Securities, whose latest outlook on the state calls for maintaining momentum in job growth, home building and tourism. Big drop in gas prices predicted across Florida

About that customary autumn decline at the gas pump that has yet to happen, with average prices well above where they were at this point a year ago? The wait might soon be over, as analysts predict prices could be about to plummet. At this story, AAA explains "A major shift occurred in the oil markets last week, suggesting gas prices could soon plummet. Universal Orlando's sixth hotel, Aventura Hotel, will open in summer 2018, the resort announced Monday morning. A rendering of the hotel released by Universal shows a tall, curving glass structure. The hotel will be 16 stories tall, with 18-foot windows.

› IT Palooza tech conference coming to Davie in December
More than 2,000 people are expected to attend the fifth-annual event by the South Florida Technology Alliance. This year's edition event will feature 30 speakers, a hiring fair, charity toy drive and after-party for networking.
