Report: Florida has a long way to go to improve medical transparency
Experts say that Floridians have no way to compare prices among health care providers and for specific services, which leads to people paying much higher costs and feeling generally confused about the entire industry. The national report by two nonprofits, Catalyst for Payment Reform and Health Care Incentives Improvement Institute, assessed how easily consumers could find health care prices in each state. Florida scored an "F" but isn't alone -- only seven states scored higher than failing. See the full report from the Health Care Incentives Improvement Institute.
