KAST Construction Company: Leadership Is the Game Changer
In an industry where finding and recruiting talent is fiercely competitive, KAST Construction is re-shaping the industry by creating an innovative work environment, resulting in the highest employee satisfaction and retention in the industry.
“In an industry where employee turnover can be as high as 20%, KAST Construction has less than 1% turnover,” says Mike Neal, CEO of KAST Construction. “We are absolutely in the people business, and leaders in our industry who fail to understand the importance of things like culture, employee satisfaction, work/life balance are missing the boat.”
“We have experienced tremendous growth over the last five years and have chosen to ramp up our leadership training to populate KAST with strong leaders across the company” says Zach Young, KAST’s vice president of operations. KAST’s executive team recently attended a leadership retreat at West Point Academy where they spent three days with retired Generals and high ranking military officers. In addition to the West Point training, KAST hosted retired Navy Seal Jocko Willink to discuss leadership principals and his book “Extreme Ownership.” The book was so inspirational to KAST’s leadership team, they asked Jocko to be the keynote speaker at KAST’s company-wide meeting.
