Florida unemployment figures fall in April

The unemployment rate for Florida dipped from 4.7 percent in March to 4.5 percent in April before seasonal adjustments. After taking into account seasonal impacts relating to April, the state jobless figure fell from 4.9 percent to 4.8 percent. Florida boating accidents up in 2015

Florida had 737 boating accidents last year, an increase of 103 accidents from 2014 -- though the number of fatalities dropped, according to information released this week by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. More from WJXT.
