Walt Disney World adds metal detectors to entrances

Walt Disney World has added metal detectors at its entrances and will be taking other security measures at the Orlando theme park. Over the past few weeks, the parks have added more uniformed law enforcement as well as specially trained dogs in key areas. More from WESH and NBC Miami.

Biotech company expands HQ, creates 160 jobs

KRS Global Biotechnology Inc. has expanded its Boca Raton headquarters by dozens of jobs and thousands of square feet. The average salary for a KRS Global worker is $59,000 a year, above Palm Beach County's average salary. More at the South Florida Business Journal.

Banking: Southern draw

Because of its shale oil and natural gas deposits, Arkansas’ economy benefited from the commodities boom during the downturn. Its conservatively managed banks were able to raise capital and expand into neighboring states and into Florida following the recession. More at the Business Observer.
