» Former Florida CFO Tom Gallagher has been hired as a consultant at Colodny, Fass, Talenfeld, Karlinsky & Abate. He will work out of the firm's Tallahassee and Fort Lauderdale offices.

» Jason A. Collier, Scott A. La Porta and Christopher Z. Staine have been named partners at Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick's Sarasota office.

» William Conroy, Jason Ellison, Courtney Fish and William Lazenby are new partners at St. Petersburg's Englander Fischer.

» Christopher Pietruszkiewicz is the new dean of Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport in Pinellas County. Pietruszkiewicz had been vice chancellor for business and financial affairs at the Law Center at Louisiana State University.

Ruth Campbell retired last month as director of Homestead’s Historic Town Hall Museum . . . at the age of 97. She was known as the grande dame of Homestead after serving the city for more than seven decades.
