Will Florida shut down fantasy sports betting?

Like to wager on daily fantasy sports? You're not alone. More than 56 million people play in the popular online gaming. But, it's now under investigation by the feds in Tampa and the Florida legislature. Luck may be running out for the fantasy sites. More from WTSP, WFLA, and Fox News 13.

A guide to the Tampa Bay Times Festival of Reading

The Tampa Bay Times Festival of Reading is back, with more than 50 authors on hand to talk about their books and meet their readers. Headlining the festival is beloved author Judy Blume, whose books for children and adults have sold more than 40 million copies. The festival is Saturday, Oct. 24, on the campus of the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, 140 Seventh Ave. S. More at the Tampa Bay Times.

Jaguars' deal in London extended 5 years with option for more in future

yacht Re-doing a home for more than $20 million is a big job. How about overhauling a boat for that price? A pair of Fort Lauderdale area boat repair yards are doing just that, lengthening a yacht to top 100 feet and then outfitting it with new equipment and top-of-the-line decor.

port dredging Some 19 years after Congress authorized a study looking at improving Port Everglades, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers approved the project’s design and allowed the Fort Lauderdale port to move forward. More important, the approval clears the project for congressional funding.
