Fernando C. Pereira emigrated to the U.S. in 1993 from Brazil to work for a travel company. A year later, he launched his own tour bus business operating as Pegasus Transportation. He built the Orlando venture from a single van and driver to a $10-million-a-year operation with 20 buses, 59 employees and offices in Miami as well as Orlando. Along the way, he learned English and Spanish in addition to his native Portuguese.
