Fed downgrades economic outlook

The Federal Reserve on Wednesday moved a step closer to hiking rates for the first time since 2006, but downgraded its economic growth and inflation projections, signaling it is in no rush to push borrowing costs to more normal levels. Read more from Reuters, the AP, and NPR.

Florida approves presidential primary date change

The Florida Legislature on Wednesday sent to Gov. Rick Scott a measure that would bump back the date of the 2016 primary from March 1 to March 15. The legislation could be a big boost for the potential presidential campaigns of both former Gov. Jeb Bush and U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio. [Source: AP]
