Business spending plans, jobs data support growth outlook

Orders for long-lasting U.S. manufactured goods in August posted their biggest drop on record after an aircraft-related boost, but a rebound in business spending plans pointed to underlying strength in the economy. More at Reuters and Bloomberg.


‘High Tech Corridor’ group announces name change

The Florida High Tech Corridor, a multiple-county economic development partnership has changed its name to The Corridor. In nearly two decades, The Corridor has worked with 360 companies on nearly 1,350 research projects, generating close to $1 billion in economic impact.
