Home prices rise, but housing market softens

South Florida's housing market continued to cool down in December, with prices still rising, but at a slower pace than earlier in the year. Industry experts say the moderation in prices is necessary to prevent the market from overheating again. More at the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Charitable giving grows faster in Florida than rest of U.S.

Charitable giving jumped 15.8 percent in Florida in 2013, outpacing the 13.3 percent national increase in charitable giving reported by the Atlas of Giving.
