Charitable giving jumped 15.8 percent in Florida in 2013, outpacing the 13.3 percent national increase in charitable giving reported by the Atlas of Giving. Fewer than half of adult Latino citizens voted in the 2012 presidential elections, according to the U.S. Census, and that has prompted two national Latino organizations to step up voter registration efforts this year, months ahead of the 2014 elections. [Source: AP]
