› After years of insecurity, Tampa-Hillsborough earns some economic swagger
"Swagger" is hardly the word that comes to mind to describe a metro area known for an inferiority complex. Well, times are changing. Economic developers here recently adopted "Think Big" as a mission statement.

› What happened to the Do Not Call List
When it comes to consumer complaints in Florida, calls from telemarketers rank first on the list. Most people have heard of the National Do Not Call Registry. There is also a Florida Do Not Call List. The lists were created to silence the unwanted calls.

› Lawmakers still seeking answers on future of gambling in Florida
Despite a 708-page study and two public workshops under their belts, state senators haven’t yet reached a ‘eureka’ moment over the future of gambling in Florida, according to the Senate’s Gaming committee chair.

› Attorneys assist nonprofits with pro bono services
For the third year, The Florida Bar Business Law Section held a successful pro bono clinic for nonprofit agencies Tuesday at Florida Coastal School of Law.

NOAA's ship, Okeanos Explorer, carrying scientists and the ROV Deep Discoverer (D2), has arrived at site “Northwest Gulf Mid-Depth." Today (4/17/2014), the ROV will visit two Monterrey shipwrecks.
