JPMorgan Chase - Northeast Business Profile

JPMorgan Chase plans to use Jacksonville as a test market for new branches. Chase will use a smaller branch building and load it with self-service kiosks and tech, including instant debit card service, tablet banking and wi-fi for customers. The aim, says George Acevedo, senior vice president and regional manager for Chase in the Southeast, is to be more efficient and give customers an option of choosing to help themselves or be helped by staff. "We're confident we're going to have good success," Acevedo says. The self-service kiosks will be able to dispense money in denominations the customer wants. The bank plans to open six branches in Jacksonville this year. Overall, Chase added 37 branches in Florida this year to bring its total to 352.
