Florida economy recovering at modest pace

The Florida economy is recovering at a modest pace, suggesting that the worst is over for the state's stressed housing market and still-high jobless rate, a new report from BMO Capital Markets Economics shows. The report said real GDP likely will grow 1.4 percent in 2012 and increase to 1.9 percent in 2013 once the housing recovery begins to take deeper root. More from the Orlando Business Journal and BMO.
