Hann Powerboats signs international contract

Art Levy | 9/5/2012

Manatee County boat builder Hann Powerboats, known for making military-style vessels designed for both speed and fuel efficiency, counts the U.S. Navy and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service among its customers. Last year, the manufacturer signed its first international contract, a $400,000 deal to make powerboats for a customer in Nigeria. This year, the company expects that global exports will account for 60% of revenue. Hann executives estimate that the boost in international business will help them to double the company’s workforce to 12.
