» Pensacola Bay Area Chamber of Commerce has hired Scott Luth as senior vice president for economic development, replacing Charles Wood, who resigned in February. Luth was most recently business development manager for Entergy Mississippi power company in Jackson, Miss.

» Garnett S. Stokes has joined Florida State University as provost and executive vice president for academic affairs. Stokes formerly was dean of the University of Georgia's Franklin College of Arts and Sciences.
