>> Flagstone Property Group unveiled plans to build a 147-room hotel and 105 timeshare units on Watson Island that will be run by Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts. The project, on city-owned land in Miami's Biscayne Bay, is part of a $480-million mixed-use development, Island Gardens. It is also slated to have a 350-room Westin hotel, restaurants and shops and a coveted luxury yacht slip.

>> Delray Beach developer Anthony V. Pugliese, of Pugliese Co., bought 27,400 acres of citrus and ranching land in Yeehaw Junction from Latt Maxcy Corp., believed to be one of the largest land sales in central Florida in decades. Pugliese, who hasn't disclosed plans for the purchase, didn't return calls seeking comment.

>> Riviera Beach's Community Redevelopment Agency picked Viking Inlet Harbor Properties from a field of four candidates to be master developer of its controversial harbor development project, which could entail using the power of eminent domain to acquire some local homes. The joint venture includes principals of Viking Yacht Co., based in New Gretna, N.J., and Portfolio Group.
