» Gov. Jeb Bush appointed former state House Speaker John Thrasher to the Clay County Board of County Commissioners. Thrasher takes the place of Christine Fitzgerald, who was forced to step down after she was indicted as part of an illegal dumping scandal.

» Richard A. Rossi was named CFO of the Jacksonville Aviation Authority. Rossi was hired by the authority last year as vice president of real estate development and had been serving as interim CFO for five months after former CFO Sherwin Burman retired.

» Fidelity National Financial CFO Alan Stinson exercised stock options to buy nearly 200,000 shares of the company and then quickly sold them, making more than $5 million.
