» Keith Tribble, former CEO of the Orange Bowl in Miami, is the new athletics director at the University of Central Florida, where he will oversee a department with a $22-million budget, about 600 athletes and 150 coaches and staff members.

» Rich Ruben has been appointed CEO of XOS Technologies, a Sanford company that provides multimedia technology to collegiate and professional sports organizations and has been one of the leaders in Florida in securing venture capital. He previously served as CEO of Wire One Communications, CFO of Bell Atlantic Mobile and president of Comcast Spectacor, which owns the Philadelphia Flyers and the Philadelphia 76ers.

» Brad Peterson, a Trammell Crow vice president in Atlanta, has moved to Orlando to head the commercial real estate services company's East Coast retail investment team.

» Julian "Jay" Whitehurst has been named president and COO of National Retail Properties (NYSE-NNN), a real estate investment trust based in Orlando. He was promoted from executive vice president and COO.
