»High-rise developer Ugo Colombo has purchased the 21,000- sq.-ft. Carl Fisher estate in Miami Beach for more than $25 million, according to reports. The home was built in 1927 by Carl Fisher, who developed much of Miami Beach.

»Retired Miami-Dade Fire-Rescue worker Glenn Patton of Key Largo has been appointed by Gov. Jeb Bush to serve on the Monroe County Commission, filling the vacancy after Murray Nelson died in April.

»Former Moet Hennessy USA chief John P. Esposito has been named president and CEO of Miami-based Bacardi U.S.A. He replaces Eduardo Sardina, who retired.
