» Palm Beach Health Network has named Davide M. Carbone CEO of St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach. Carbone served as a vice president for HCA's East Florida Division before joining St. Mary's.

» The Florida Association of Professional Employer Organizations has named Robert A. Beck II, founder of Fort Lauderdale-based AlphaStaff Group, to its board of directors.

» 1st United Bank has hired David E. Webb as vice president and senior relationship manager of business banking in its North Palm Beach office. Webb had been a vice president and business banker at Mercantile Bank.

» Stuart-based Seacoast Banking's board of directors has elected Edwin Walpole III to its board. Walpole is president and owner of Walpole Inc., a transportation company in Okeechobee.

» Members of the Martin County Bar Association have selected Portia B. Scott, of Scott & Scott in Stuart, as president-elect. Scott is the pro-bono chair for the 19th Judicial Circuit.
