Shipyard Plans

LandMar Group announced plans for The Shipyards, a 44-acre development along the St. Johns River in downtown Jacksonville. The $1-billion project includes four towers with condominiums and retail space, a 700-foot pier, a 130-slip marina, parks and an extension of the Northbank Riverwalk. One-bedroom units start at $300,000 with penthouses starting at $1 million. LandMar plans to begin work on the riverwalk and park spaces early next year with construction on the first tower beginning in late 2007. The first tower is expected to be completed in two years. LandMar took over the project after it was abandoned by TriLegacy following an incentives scandal
