Transitioning to Teaching

Florida Atlantic University's College of Education will receive $1.9 million from the U.S. Department of Education's Transition to Teaching program.

The money will enable Broward, Palm Beach and Okeechobee counties to add fully certified teachers.

The program targets midcareer professionals and recent college graduates who have not majored in education to teach in high-need schools.
