? R. Alexander Acosta has been sworn in as the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida.

? The Miami Business Forum, a coalition of Miamiarea executives, has named former U.S. ambassador Paul Cejas as its new chairman.

? Attorney Charles A. Schuette has been elected chairman of the board of Miami-based Coconut Grove Bank. Founded in 1926, the bank is Miami's oldest.
