The 15 Tampa-area candidates who joined the program in January attend class via an interactive videoconference between FIU's Biscayne Bay campus and Largo Medical Center but perform their clinical activities locally at Largo Medical Center and other HCA West Florida facilities, including Edward White Hospital, Northside Hospital and Heart Institute and St. Petersburg General Hospital.
