Tampa Bay is Holding at Fifth

Tampa Bay ranked fifth among six similarly sized regions in a variety of economic factors, including income, productivity, education, innovation, transportation, employment and housing, according to the Summer 2011 Regional Economic Scorecard. Tampa Bay also ranked fifth in the winter 2011 report. In the inaugural scorecard, released in winter 2005/06, Tampa Bay ranked second. The summer 2011 results:

3. Atlanta
4. Charlotte, N.C.
5. Tampa Bay
6. Jacksonville
