The Frost Art Museum at Florida International University opened late last year with six exhibitions in its nine galleries. The exhibitions include “Modern Masters from the Smithsonian American Art Museum” through March 1 on its first stop in a national tour. An affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution, the 46,000-sq.-ft. museum (designed by Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum) has more than 6,000 works in its permanent collection.
