Pensacola gets a pediatric cancer center

Carlton Proctor | 7/30/2021

Pediatric health care resources across Northwest Florida took a leap forward this spring with the opening of the Bear Family Foundation Pediatric Oncology Center for Hope in Pensacola. Located within the Studer Family Children’s Hospital at Ascension Sacred Heart, the center’s primary goal is to be able to treat children with cancer closer to home, as well as provide their families a broad array of support services during treatment.

"With this addition, we are providing care not only for the child, but also for their families, who are facing a long, tough battle through diagnosis, treatment and recovery,” says Children’s Hospital President Will Condon.
