Skyborne and Gulf Coast State College team up for disaster technology center

Franklin County-based Skyborne Technologies has begun testing an aircraft that acts as a “mothership” that can deploy multiple drones from a single location.

Called DATT, the craft is designed for a variety of uses, including establishing temporary communication links, aerial agricultural surveying and disaster relief and search-and-rescue operations.

Skyborne has formed a partnership with Gulf Coast State College in Panama City to establish a disaster technology center on the college’s Franklin County branch campus.
